The Deutsches Eck ("Corner of Germany") in Coblence, Germany, is situated at the point of confluence of the Rhine and Mosel rivers.
Until reaching this point, the Rhine has come from Switzerland, passing the borders of Liechtenstein, Austria, and France, whereas the Mosel flows from France past Luxemburg before coming into Germany.
In the same way, various cultures and information have been flowing together in the regions bordering these rivers from ancient times.
Accordingly, we decided to not simply call this webpage "German Corner" or "Germany Corner"; as "Das Deutsche Eck" our language school, too, is intended as a meeting point for various languages and cultures.
Besides learning the language, you will also learn about cultures and lifestyles in German-speaking countries.
